Printer

One of the key to great looking printables is using a quality printer. You will want to use a color printer.

When purchasing a new printer, be sure to consider if it has built-in wifi. Many people including myself appreciate the convenience of not having to connect a printer directly to the computer. Some printers will let you print right from your phone as well. I personally only purchase printers that print on both sides of the paper. If you are planning on doing any scanning, be sure you choose a multi function printer, which usually has a flatbed scanner built in. Some multi function printers have fax capabilities as well.

Inkjet printers have come a long way over the years. There are some color inkjet printers that have great print quality at a reasonable price. I personally have had the best experience with Brother and HP inkjet printers. Inkjet printers use individual ink cartridges. Some brands make printers that can use ink cartridges in a regular size or a high yield size that has a greater print capacity.

A color laser printer would be considered the highest quality printer by many. Laser printers use toner cartridges that are often considerably more expensive when compared to the price of inkjet cartridges.

Paper

Regular paper works just fine in all printers. Many printables will look fine on regular copy paper. But if you want to be sure you have the highest quality of print color and no bleed through, use a heavier weight paper.
